The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF) has officially commenced a strategic roadmap training initiative aimed at grooming cadet athletes for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. This program is proudly sponsored by the National Sports Commission as part of its commitment to developing elite-level athletes from a young age.
As part of this initiative, selected cadet athletes have traveled to Senegal to participate in the Olympic Solidarity Training Camp, a high-performance development program designed to prepare emerging talent for international competition. The camp marks the beginning of a structured Olympic training pathway.
Four outstanding cadet athletes were awarded full scholarships to train under world-class Taekwondo coaches. Following the training camp in Senegal, the athletes will proceed to Ethiopia to compete in the President’s Cup (G3 Event) — a prestigious international ranking tournament.
