Nigeria’s Sole Taekwondo Athlete at the Riyadt Islamic Game in Saudi Arabia Elizebeth Anyanacho Gets Wild Card As she battles for -67Kg Gold medal in Riyadh.

Nigeriaria’s Elizabeth Anyanacho will begin the battle to claim the Gold Medal in Taekwondo sports at the ongoing Islamic Games in Riyadh Saudi Arabia after being given a wild card from the Round of 16.

‎In a draw released this afternoon by the tournament director, it was revealed that Elizabeth Anyanacho will have to wait for the winner between Ndiaye A. from Mauritania and Taju I. of Mozambique before kicking off the gold medal hope in the quarter-finals.

‎Reacting to the draw, President of the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation Grand Master Tayo Popoola expresses confidence in Elizabeth’s preparations ahead of this championship.

‎”I have been in touch with her and her coaches since they arrived at Riyadh and she has been in top shape emotionally and physically, which is very good for her to compete”.
‎
‎”I believe she had put behind, her recent precious Bronze medal which she won at the World Championship in Wuxi China, and with the experience she has gathered, we will be expecting her to go for the Gold so as to add up to the ones Nigeria has won so far.

‎Elizabeth Anyanacho who is currently African Champion in the -67kg is one of Nigeria Medal prospects at the ongoing Islamic Games.
